WATCH: Beyonce’s awkward reaction to Harry and Meghan asking for voiceover work

It was announced recently that Meghan Markle had signed a voiceover deal with Disney after she and Prince Harry revealed they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family.

The deal came as a slight shock to people as it seemed to come very soon after the announcement, but it seems the couple had been grafting for some time regarding the deal.

As seen in the video, the couple were introduced to a top executive in Disney and pitched for a job while they were speaking to him.

To make this even more awkward, Beyonce and Jay-Z were also stood there, watching this pitch go down, and we can see Queen Bey cringing.

The clip shows the two couples as they attended the premiere of The Lion King back in July, and Harry can be seen praising his wife’s voiceover skills with the film’s director Jon Favreau.

As this exchange happens, Beyonce can be seen covering her face, looking as if she’d rather be anywhere else but there in that moment.

This visible awkwardness was a field day for Twitter users who shared their thoughts, one wrote: ‘ ‘Look at Beyonce! She KNOWS what’s happening and she and Mr. Carter have to pretend to be nice until the Harkles get through the line.’

Another wrote: ‘This is painful to watch. Everyone seems so uncomfortable, especially while Meghan is speaking with Beyoncé.’

Another said: ”Beyonce scratched her nose and looked as if she was embarrassed for them and then JayZ laughed at Harry’s Scar joke.’

During the exchange, Harry boasted to the director about his wife: ‘If anyone needs any extra voiceover work…’ before Meghan interrupts and jokes: ‘That’s really why we’re here – it’s the pitch!’

Harry then says ‘… just not Scar,’ good one Harry.

In a separate encounter on the same night, Harry is seen chatting to Disney CEO Bob Iger. Harry asks: ‘ You do know she does voiceovers?’

Iger can be heard replying: ‘Ah, I did not know that.’ Harry then responds: ‘You seem surprised. She’s really interested.’ The Disney chief then says: ‘We’d love to try. That’s a great idea.’

It seems the royal couple could have had their departure planned a lot earlier than we thought.
