Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex may have exited the royal family, but that doesn’t mean that Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge are taking any time off to mourn their absence.
In fact, they appear to be stepping up their game, even appearing “more focused than ever” since Megxit, albeit with some signs of stress, which is understandable.
It wasn’t exactly clear how things would shake out when Prince Harry and Meghan announced their plan to “step back,” but once Queen Elizabeth met with Prince Harry, Prince William, and Prince Harry to discuss the matter, they were able to finalize an agreement.
The queen shared her support of the Sussexes’ move, noting in a statement: “Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family. My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family.”
“Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family,” the queen noted.
Their arrangement required Prince Harry and Meghan to give up their HRH titles and any public funding and they swiftly made their move to Canada with their son Archie.
While the Sussexes’ exit created some drama in the media and likely behind closed palace doors, it’s been business as usual for the Cambridges.
During their visit to Mumbles in South Wales, they appeared in good spirits, smiling as they met with their fans and though they are focused, according to a body language expert, there may be some indications of stress.
“The pictures of the royal couple all say the same thing; Prince William and Kate are on the same page,” energy reader Alison Ward toward Express.
“The way they look directly into each other’s eyes and over their bodies towards each other when they are talking and walking indicates compatibility, friendship and common values.”
Despite being in sync and showing compatibility, Ward notes that some stress associated with the exit drama can be detected. “The stress of recent times is subtly showing in their eyes, especially Kate but they know where they are going and what they wish to achieve,” she explained.
Signs of stress aside, the Cambridges, according to Ward, are closer than ever. “As they walk they move their arms towards one another other indicating warmth and connection.”
According to a report from Us Weekly, a source confirmed that Prince William and Kate are “closer together” amid the Harry and Meghan exit drama.
“The Cambridges are busier than ever since Harry and Meghan left the U.K. You’d think their hectic schedule would put strain on the marriage, but it’s actually brought them closer together,” the insider shared. “Working as a team and supporting each other is essential at a time like this, and that’s exactly what they’re doing.
