Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage is predicted to end in five years.
Bookmakers Paddy Power revealed that the odds for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to get a divorce in 2025 are at 3/1. The couple’s divorce is also considered to be more likely than Serena Williams winning Wimbledon.
The odds of the couple’s marriage ending are also much higher compared to the possibility of them rejoining the royal family.
Last week, Prince Harry and Markle announced their decision to step back from their roles as senior royals. The bookies said that the odds of the couple to become working royals again are at 14/1.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time that Prince Harry and Markle’s marriage was rumored to be ending. In November, royal expert Angela Mollard detailed the conversation she had with one of her colleagues.
While at the Australian Geographic Awards, Mollard’s friend said that she’s giving Prince Harry and Markle "five and two." When the royal expert asked what she meant, her pal said that five years and two kids before they split.
Before the couple announced that they were stepping back from their roles, a royal expert discussed what could happen to Prince Harry and Markle’s son, Archie, if they decide to get divorced.
“It is entirely possible that the duchess would agree to an agreement, including allowing England to be Archie’s permanent residence. He has a very special life there. Nevertheless, if she chooses to relocate to the U.S. and take her son with her, I seriously doubt that it is quite as cut and dried as indicated below,” Linda Merrell said.
She added that the same thing will happen if Prince William and Kate Middleton get divorced. They need to sort things out for the sake of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Otherwise, it is possible for Queen Elizabeth to step in and make a decision on the couple’s behalf.
