Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been hounded with numerous issues and controversies since they made started dating in Oct. 2016. Despite all the hate and criticisms they have been getting from the start, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to maintain a strong front together, proving to the world that their relationship is indestructible.
Amid their plans to “step back” from being senior royals, there have been reports saying that Meghan and Prince Harry are planning to add another member to their brood.
Rumors about the former “Suits” actress being pregnant with her second child have been making rounds on the cyberspace for quite some time now. While some fans are thrilled to hear some baby news, a royal correspondent claimed that having another baby might not be a good idea after all.
Royal biographer Duncan Larcombe shared, via the Jan. 13 issue of Woman UK, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry told their close pals about their plans of having another baby after Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. He said sources close to the couple said they do not want Archie to be an only child. Duncan added Meghan and Harry do not want a big age gap between their kids.
“The fact the duke and duchess virtually disappeared from the public eye for a ‘six-week break’ is bound to fuel rumors they know something we don’t,” Duncan said. “However royal protocol means nothing will be confirmed or denied by the Palace until an official announcement,” he went on.
Though it is not impossible for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to welcome their second baby very soon, Duncan claimed it is not ideal for the time being, especially with the constant disparagements being thrown at them.
Instead of adding a new family member, Meghan and Harry were advised to focus more on improving their public image. He stated that the couple should learn the “concept of knowing when to speak and when to maintain a dignified silence.”
Duncan added the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should try their best to avoid negative headlines, which should start by restoring Prince Harry and Prince William’s strained relationship.
“So 2020 will be a turning point; a chance to focus on the positives, as the negatives of Harry’s ‘accident of birth’ – as he famously describes it– will always be there,” he continued.
In Dec. 2019, Alex Apati of Bookmakers Ladbrokes suggested that Meghan and Prince Harry are very likely to welcome Archie’s new sibling this year.
"Meghan is making a habit of giving royal watchers reason to believe she's pregnant, and the latest odds suggest another baby could soon be on the cards, he said, per Daily Express.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to respond to these pregnancy rumors. Hence, avid followers of the royal couple should take these speculations lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
