Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have kept relatively silent since revealing that they intended to step away from their senior duties within the British royal family.
However, a new report suggests that the Duchess of Sussex has quietly made plans to give her first interview since her royal exit to a well-known personality.
According to the Daily Mail, the former "Suits" actress has plans to open up to talk show host Ellen Degeneres about her decision to step away from the famous family.
As stated by the publication, Meghan informed close friends that she wants to talk to DeGeneres as the two have become close after initially meeting at a dog shelter in Los Angeles and she feels as though the host "understands her pain and suffering."
"Ellen and Meghan have already discussed a sit-down interview. That's been in the works for quite some time now," an insider who works for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" revealed.
However, the decision to go with DeGeneres instead of Oprah Winfrey or "CBS This Morning" host Gayle King has reportedly caused some friction.
"Ellen getting the first shot at an in-depth interview is surely going to put Oprah's - (and Gayle King's) nose out of joint," a source revealed to the outlet, adding,
"After all, Oprah wooed Meghan's mother by having her spend the day in Montecito, wrangled an invite to the wedding and has been pretty vocal in her support of the couple's decision to break away."
Meghan's rumored decision not to give her first interview to the former "Oprah Winfrey Show" host may come as a surprise to royal fans as Prince Harry has worked with her on a mental health project in the past.
As for what the rest of the royal family has been doing since Meghan and Harry's departure, it has been reported that Kate Middleton has made a "daring" decision and has indicated that she intends to focus on this as she moves forward with Prince William and Queen Elizabeth II.
Additionally, other reports have surfaced since Megxit that indicate that Her Majesty's "signals" may have caused the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to ultimately make their decision to leave.
