Prince Harry’s Bombshell Exit Didn’t Cause Any Damage To Royal Family

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from the royal family was expected to cause problems to the institution. However, a new poll revealed that this wasn’t necessarily the case.

Daily Express asked some of its readers to participate in a survey, and the results revealed that 47 percent of the respondents didn’t dislike the royal family now that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have left.

Approximately 13 percent of the respondents said that they dislike the royal family, and 35 percent said that they didn’t know if they agree or disagree with the question.

However, 40 percent of the respondents think that Prince Harry made a mistake for quitting, while only 31 percent said that they don’t think it was wrong for him and his wife to leave the royal family.

Meanwhile, there are predictions that the royal family would change after Prince Harry and Markle’s bombshell exit. During her appearance on “This Morning,” royal expert Camilla Tominey predicted the royal couple’s exit after their documentary “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey” aired.

“There’s a couple here who are saying that the intense media scrutiny of their lives is making them question whether they want to continue to be royals, effectively,” she said.

Following their exit, some members of the royal family are expected to take on more responsibilities. For instance, Prince Harry and Markle’s patronages will be passed on to either Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Edward, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal engagements will also be passed on to senior royals including Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

“This is uncharted territory, but if they were to withdraw from public life, then the organizations with which they are associated in various capacities would be reallocated to other members of the royal family,” royal expert and Majesty editor Joe Little said before the announcement.
