Ivana Trump is not willing to forgive Marla Maples for breaking her marriage with President Donald Trump.
Ivana didn’t hide her dislike toward the POTUS’ second wife. According to reports, Trump and Ivana’s marriage broke down when he started an affair with the model. Maples was considered Trump’s mistress and Ivana couldn’t forgive her for what she had to their family.
“[Marla] asked to apologize to me in the Daily Mail in London. They asked if I accepted the apology and I said no. Why should I? She broke my marriage!” Ivana said to the New York Post.
Ivana made the statement after Maples told People that she wanted to make up with Ivana two decades after her affair with Trump. However, Ivana wasn’t ready to make peace with her.
In fact, Ivana remains bitter to Maples based on her statement about the model. She even accused Maples of flirting with Trump and called her a “showgirl” and “nobody” who would “never achieve anything in her life.”
“Well, she was flirting. I think she was flirting and she got away with it,” Ivana said of Maples.
Ivana also recalled an incident when Maples confronted her while she was still married to Trump. According to her, she wasn’t expecting the said confrontation and was shocked by it.
“This young blond woman came up to me out of the blue and said, ‘I’m Marla and I love your husband. Do you?’” Ivana recalled. “I said ‘Get lost. I love my husband.’ It was unladylike but I was in shock.”
Ivana and Trump’s marriage became a legal battle, so the POTUS made an “ironclad” prenup agreement before he married Maples.
The document stated that Maples would only receive $1 million if they separated within five years and another $1 million to buy a home. Trump also offered a $100,000 child support payment for their daughter Tiffany when she turned 21.
Trump also made an extensive confidentiality agreement. Maples was prohibited from publishing anything about their marriage be it her diary, memoir, letter, story, photograph, interview, article, essay or any depiction of their relationship.
